- Understand the searching behavior of your potential customer. Look through their eyes and understand the dialogue they are having is having with the web. The majority of customers are researching or looking to solve a problem. If you understand what problem the surfer is trying to solve (keywords and phrases) you can provide them with a very customised solution to it (your website, landing page and ultimately your product).
- Decide on a plan to track conversions. Often this is straight forward...it's when you make a sale. Other times this can be a little trickier. If you're an estate agent, you'll most likely be tracking leads. In addition, you'll have to assign some kind of pound value to the leads so you can determine how much to spend on advertising order to get it.
- Set up an autoresponders. Autoresponders are an easy way to keep in touch with your valuable customers and prospects. Essentially autoresponders are automated email.

- Build landing pages to cater for each conversation type.
- The two different potential customers above will definitely need to go to two different pages within your site. You want to
highlight the different value propositions you're bringing to the table and how you can solve their particular problem.
- Set up a blog.
- Set up your adwords campaign using the correctly chosen keywords, groupings and landing pages.
- Monitor the campaign and test...EVERY DAY.
- Adjust bids every day.
- Split test ads every day.
- Remove non-performing keywords every day.
- As soon as a great "money term" is found, start the search engine optimisation process for that term.
- Make blog postings on your blog and others'
- Market at least 2-3 articles per week.
- Answer posts on forums and yahoo answers.
- Move great "money terms" to Yahoo and MSN pay per click advertising engines.
- Rinse and repeat this process every 90 days!
